I have tried to work out the problems in our marriage but, it is def over. My husband is vindictive & a liar. I have found lots of paper work that proves he is going to try to get rid of me so he has full control of the kids. He controls all our finances & trys to control everything else. He threatens me if I leave him all the time. I am so fed up I stood up & filed the papers w/ help from the court. They say I can go through this divorice w/out a lawyer especially if he has no proof of these threats & lies. I know he will hire a lawyer if I send these papers in for him to get served. She said that it could be difficult for me to be able to understand the paperwork from the lawyer & that could end up hurting me. The lady said if I request a lawyer when we see the judge he will not make my huband give me some of our money to retain a lawyer, even if my husband is capable. I am a stay at home mom & that is our money. How can everything be required to be shared but, not our finances? How can I be denied my right from a controlling husband? I can not stay in this marriage & I don't deserve to lose my kids because he refuses me my rights in this marriage. What r ur opions on my chances of going through this the only way I might be able to? I need advice, thanks.
